<p>The <a title="Great Western Railway" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Western_Railway">Great Western Railway</a> (GWR) was one of a number of private <a title="History of rail transport in Great Britain" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_rail_transport_in_Great_Britain">British railway companies</a> created to develop the new means of transport. GWR’s aim was initially to connect <a title="Bristol" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bristol">Bristol</a> with <a title="London" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London">London</a>; its chief engineer was <a title="Isambard Kingdom Brunel" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isambard_Kingdom_Brunel">Isambard Kingdom Brunel</a>.</p>
